Presentation

For the presentation I plan to explain every tab on WIX, saying why I did it, where the idea came from. Showing them all the planning, I did, will help people to understand the journey I had from start to end of the FEP, to see how thought out my idea was even from the beginning, I will show my proposal form, this will show people how my idea has changed but still stayed the same from start to end. I think what will show the most difference is seeing the proposal and then the evaluation. Seeing the progression, I made when reading through my blogs, what I did each week, to get the outcome I did of the project. I want to show my research I did for the project and the explanation of why I did each piece of research, I will do this to give a better understanding, this will educate the people watching the presentation. With doing this it will allow them to understand the topic more and why I chose it, this will help when it comes to watching the documentary. I want to make sure I allow the audience to ask questions if they have any, this is helpful as it helps me to improve in future projects. When I have finished presenting, I will ask the audience if they have any questions, this is so I can make sure they are more educated on the topic.

I have decided to present my film at a film festival because it helps to get it more well-known, allowing more people to be educated, this also makes more people comfortable with speaking up about their issues and getting the help that they need and deserve. Also, I think presenting it will help people to get a better understanding about mental health, this makes it more of an open convocation in different environments. I think having a mixture of different types of people viewing your work is important, as they will all have different opinions. Another thing, I have never done this before, therefore it is a learning experience for me, this is helpful as it helps me to be more confident in myself and my work, making me more approachable as a person, for people to ask me about my work. I think doing this will also help improve my people skills as I will be speaking to people I know and do not know, therefore speaking to different kinds of people, so doing this will help to know how to come across in a professional way.

 

From watching Thirteen reasons why, it showed me how important other people’s opinions are on your work, this is due to when Thirteen reasons why were first aired, the first season they had to change the first episode and add a content warning. From knowing this, it showed me how important it is to include a content warning, to make it clear to the audience what is included, this is so they can decide from the very beginning if this is something they want to watch. Also, getting peoples thoughts and opinions, from doing surveys, questionnaires, focus group, interviews (etc.), it showed me that getting opinions from your target audience is a big part of the research because it is their opinion that matters, due to it is them that gets your product spoken about (etc.).

 

I explained why I chose to do a documentary; I did this so viewer have a better understanding of the product. Showing people some tabs on my WIX, so that they could see the explanation I did on the topic, so that I knew how to approach the topic when making the product, doing this helped to know how to come across, in a way to make sure to educate the most people.  I also, made sure that everyone understood what they had just seen, this was to make sure I had done what I wanted to do. Asked if anyone had any questions, those that did I answered them, to make sure they know and understand the topic. Also asking their opinion, asking what they think I should have done differently, I did this to know where I can approve. This is helpful for the future as it shows me how to present my work to appeal to my audience more, this makes my products more well-known and professional.

 

The people who are going to be viewing my work are all my teachers, everyone in my course (my classmates), people from other courses in college. Not only this but peoples family and friends are also going to be there, viewing everyone’s products/websites.
